In [[Slugs and Bugs: Invasion]], Elvira was hired by [[Marlena Kress]]. She did her work well, as she actively enjoyed her job. In the novel, she escapes the second floors, locking [[Anne]] in with the [[spiders]]. On the top floor she stayed quiet and survived, until the [[Over-Master]] found her, contained her, and eventually [[minded]] her.

Elvira is a 33 year old brunette woman. She has a Brooklyn accent.

== Notes and Trivia ==

Elvira grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and excelled in mathematics. In college, she was a finance major, and as a graduate she had no trouble finding work. She moved to a few different firms before being hired at Erebus Financial Services. In a rare happenstance, she was hired by [[Marlena Kress]] and not [[Dagan]]. Marlena was looking for talent, and she literally seduced Elvira to join the company. This turned out to be lucrative for both parties, and Elvira enjoyed her job. She had no love for Kress, but understood people like her, and she knew that if someone better came along, Kress would easily replace her. Because she did so well, Kress never needed to take her to Dagan for a ‘talk’, and as such, Elvira kept her free will. She remained after his incarceration, and works on one of the uppermost floors of the building.

== Transformation ==

While on the upper floors of the [[Erebus Building]], Elvira was camping out to survive the [[Invasion]]. The [[Over-Master]] made an avatar within the building, and trapped Elvira. It warped her, and eventually minded her.

After being minded, Elvira adopts the typical look of the [[Minders]]; she had red mottled skin, tentacles, and a large green eye.

When the invasion took place, the building shook, and Elvira ran for her life. People found the elevator out of service, and she quickly attempted to reach the stairs. By the time she reached the second floor, she found huge [[spiders]] webbing and attacking people. [[Anne]] ran for the stairs, but Elvira selfishly slammed the door and held it- leaving Anne to her fate. She decided to go back upstairs and eventually, she met up with [[Jen]] and others. At one point, they decided to camp out and lived off Twinkies from a vending machine, until the [[Over-Master]], in curious anger formed an avatar within the [[Erebus Building]]. It intended to oversee personally the capture of [[Justine Day]]. However, as it formed, its tentacles smashed about the building, rooting it in place and as a protection again the advance Justine. Elvira found herself trapped in the Over-Mind’s clutches, and it warped her mind, enslaving her. She remained docile and within its grasp, until a [[Minder]] came and joined with her. Since then, she has served the Over-Master mercilessly and helped conquer the East Coast.
