In [[Slugs and Bugs: Invasion]], Erica is one of the first characters [[Justine]] meets after [[The Invasion]]. Erica was working on her car, unaware of the slugs approaching her. She became slugged.

Erica Petersen grew up in a rich family. She always managed to talk her way out of trouble, and even offered cops an occasional benefit if they would let her off without a ticket. People around the [[Erebus Building]] knew her as a party girl, and she really was. She came to work only long enough for a quickie from a person named [[Kenny]] that she had been dating. The two had a torrid copulation, passionate, because Erica knew she might not get the chance again. Then the invasion commenced just as she was going to her car! Justine recognized the charger outside, but when she went to see if she could flee with Erica- the woman had been slugged! Erica never returned to the Erebus Building, and helped the slugs chase people in the streets and alleyways. Her car was used to help [[Justine]] and [[Jen]] get away.
