== Introduction ==
The Haunted are a mixed [[faction]] of [[human]] and [[undead]], headed by [[Dagan Erebus]]. Their intent is the intent of Dagan - to create an empire.

= Notable Locations =
*[[Erebus Building]] - Dagan's initial headquarters, before his execution. It is filled with hidden passages.
*District Attorney's Office - The current base of operations of [[Amelia Williams]].
*Ruined Church - The haunting place of Dagan, where he was first summoned and where he currently presides.

= Haunted Types =

The possessed have been taken over by The [[Phantom]]. They may be actively possessed, or had their soul already consumed and are now the extended will of Dagan Erebus. They have gray skin and glowing eyes for those that can see supernaturally, but appear ordinary to everyone else. While only having weak attacks, they hold the power that their free-willed selves had before their possession.

=== Goons ===
Goons are the non-possessed in Dagan's empire. Not every member knows of his power and influence, and many of these members are useful for manual labor and criminal behavior. A few choice goons work with Dagan to ensure the continued influence of his power.

Before Dagan was executed, he had used the [[Codex Gigas]] to strike a deal with [[Aka Manah]], selling his soul for the power to enslave women. Many women were corrupted as a result, but their allegiance is to Aka Manah, not to Dagan himself. As a result, Dagan's previous cult members, while in relation to Dagan, do not fall within his faction.

= Works =
== Phantom: Revenge ==

In [[Phantom: Revenge]], we see the genesis of the Haunted. Following the story of [[Dagan Erebus]] after his execution, the first of his possessed is witnessed in the form of [[Amelia Williams]]. While he had corrupted women beforehand, it was using the power of Aka Manah. In this novel, Dagan becomes The [[Phantom]], and begins the faction proper.

== The Anax: Call of the Cursed One ==
In [[The Anax: Call of the Cursed One]], Dagan's influence is mentioned. While not an active role in the novel, Dagan at one point possesses [[Evelyn Addams]], exploiting the darkness within her. Under his influence, she molests [[Harper Jones]], an incident which causes turbulence in their group (the [[Female Phantom Finders]]). [[Moonbeam Sunflower]] removes Dagan's influence from Evelyn.
